Hello!

My name is Papi.  Papi Chulo.

I am a Labradoodle.  That is a kind of dog.

I live in a big house with my human friend Arturo.

He is silly sometimes, but he loves me lots!

So let me share with you what life with me is like.

papi wakes

My day starts at 6:30 in the morning.  I love to sleep and wake my human with kisses and tail wags.

Once he's ready, he gets my leash and we go out.

We go out for walkies!  (NB: Thank you Barbara Woodhouse!)

It's dark but I love sniffing, barking and meeting people.  Sometimes it's cold and rainy.

Sometimes it's nice and sunny.

After our walk it's time for...breakfast!

I love to eat and sometimes I get chicken as a treat!

Then the day changes for me and my human.

When Arturo leaves I am left alone.  I feel sad because he has to go to a place called "work."  Arturo is a "teacher."  He teaches young humans about many things.  Sometimes Arturo gets to take me to work and I get to meet and play with the young humans.  It's fun!

But when I stay home alone I have to do things.  I sleep a lot, but then I want to play.  I have many, many toys.  But the toys I love are things called "homework."  Arturo says how his young humans say that their dogs ate their homework.

Hmph!  Whoever heard of us dogs eating homework.  But these paper toys Arturo left on the carpet were yummy!

What does "B+" mean?  And why would someone have to "re-do" something?

Later in the day Arturo comes home and I run to the door.  I bark, wag my tail and jump to greet my human!  I love him and he loves me, too.  Why?  Because we're going on another walkie!!

When summer comes I love my walkies even more!

Arturo and I go to "the Great Highway" and go for long walkies.  I meet and greet other humans and other doggies.

There are lots of birds, too.  Arturo likes to take me to the beach, but I don't like it because I get my paws wet and salty.

Another special treat is a trip to Los Altos to meet with Arturo's friend, Sister Chris.

I am in doggie heaven when I go there.  There's a lake, lots of trees, deer and squirrels!

Spending a few hours visiting with Sister Chris makes me thirsty, hungry and tired.  She likes to walk around the lake, too.

dig

Sometimes I get to play in the back yard.  I love to dig, dig, dig!

Arturo looks at me and shakes his head.

Poor, poor Arturo.  He looks like he is going to cry.

But after I get dirt all over me, I have to get a bath!

Help!  I don't want a bath!!

And that's it.  I can tell you about many other things, like my first trip to Palm Springs to meet my other doggie friends, Blue and Bonnie.

And I can tell you about my friend Lotto in Brisbane at my Aunt Lynn's house.

And Arturo's boss, "Miz O" is cool because she says I can come visit sometimes.

Perhaps in another story, OK?

I think I am going to sleep now.

And remember, whoever wakes me has to deal with me!  Hugs and tail wags from Papi C.
