This is one of the oldest trees in Peabody. It is in front of the Kiley School in West Peabody.
The gymnasium at the Kiley Brothers Memorial School is named after the Taylor family. This is because some of the Taylor family’s land was taken by the city to build the school in 1954. When the Taylor land was taken, the family requested that all or most of the trees, and the stone wall bordering the property, remain at the site. The stone wall is gone and in the westerly corner of the lot, there is a huge, beautiful tree with spectacular autumn foliage. When the request was made by the family, Dr. Moulton, a Taylor family descendant, said that the grown trees were planted by his grandfather.
This another old tree in Peabody. It is located at the intersection of Main and Washington streets in downtown Peabody.
