My name is Daisy T. Flower.  I was planted in the ground this Spring as a tiny, little seed .  It has taken some time, but with tender love and care I have become the beautiful flower that I am today.

It all started when I was planted in a six-inch hole in the dirt.  I know it does not sound glamorous , but the dirt is where I grow best.

The first few days of my life, I began sprouting out of my seed.  I then began growing roots  that helped me become tall and strong.  I drank lots of water during this time to give me the energy that I needed.

The process of sprouting seeds.

Throughout the next week, I shot up through the ground and began my journey upward.  I was reaching for the sky so that I could feel the sunlight on my leaves . Sunlight helps me make energy to keep growing every year, just like you eat food to keep growing.

Once I was tall enough, it was time for me to bloom.  This video shows how Daisies like me bloom : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvxu0SJVLzY

A fully bloomed Daisy, like me!

So that is it.  That is how I grew to be the flower that I am today.  I am a Perennial  flower, so every year I will come up through the soil in the Spring to share my beauty with the world.
