The Liberty Bell

The Liberty Bell was created in 1752. The bell told lawmakers and citizens that a meeting was about to be held.



The bell is located in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania. It was once in the bell tower of Independence Hall, but today is kept on a stand in Independence Hall


The Liberty Bell was rung on July 8th, 1776 to mark the reading of the Declaration of Independence



The Liberty Bell got its crack in 1835. Two men tried to repair the bell. Shortly after they closed the crack, it came back.




The Liberty Bell is an icon of American independence
