There are many characteristics that a person can have that would make them a good citizen. What are some of those qualities?

Do your part to make your school a better place. If you see someone doing something wrong you should tell someone. Being a vocal person in your school makes it safe for everyone.

Take responsibility for what goes on around you. Being a good citizen means that if you do something wrong, you admit that you were the one who did it.

Participating in a community service project is a great way to be a citizen in your community. You should take pride in where you live, regardless of your age, there are many ways you can help.

The Earth does not belong to us. Being a good citizen means that you take care of the environment. Taking care of the environment can be done without leaving your home.

People do not move too often. That family who lives next door to you probably will be there for a while. Being a good neighbor means being respectful of them.

People often expect to get respect but often are not respectful. To get respect from anyone, you also have to give it.

Following rules is something that's expected anywhere you go. By following rules, everyone in the world knows what is expected of them. Rules allow there to be order.

Being a good citiizen is the job of everyone, and helps to keep our world a safe place. Your community begins at home and extends out into your town or city. Remember what you have learned about being a good citizen and start practicing today!
