We Must Work Together
Sally and Jane do everything together. They even dress like each other. Sally and Jane never ever had a fight.
Sally and Jane's favorite thing to do is art. Sally and Jane spend hours and hours drawing pictures. Both Sally and Jane want to be artists.
Their favorite thing to draw is honey bees.
One day Sally said to Jane, "why don't you and I both draw a picture of a honeybee and see which one is best".
Jane said " that is a great idea, I will go to my house and you go to yours and we will meet back at the park in an hour".
Sally ran to her house certain she would draw the best honeybee ever. Jane ran to her cave in the woods full of ideas on how to draw the best honeybee ever.
Sally worked and worked but no matter how hard she tried she could not get the wings to look right on her honeybee. She was getting very frustrated.
Jane alomst had her picture right but the black and yellow strips looked all wrong. Jane was as getting very lonely in her cave all by herself.
As hard as Sally and Jane tried they both were upset, becuase their pictures did not look just right.
Sally and Jane walked to the park with their heads down. Sally did not want to show Jane her picture, and Jane just wanted to see her friend again even though her picture was not perfect.
Sally said "I could not do it", Jane said neither could I my honeybee did not look right.
Jane said " I have an idea", Why don't we draw the best honeybee picture together. Sally said" That is a great idea". "You know we alway work best when we work together.
Sally and Jane spent the rest of the day creating the best honeybee picture ever. Their picture of a honeybee had the best wings and stripes ever. Sally and Jane both decided that it was better to work together than apart.
