Using Your Senses

By Krystina Lange

This is the Edward's Family. The Edward's Family lives, works and goes to school on Long Island. Every person in the Edward's family uses their five senses to help them on their daily activities.

Hi, my name is Jarrett and I live with my wife, daughter and my two sons. Every morning I drive my children to school. Lately, I have problems seeing when I drive so I wear my glasses. This makes sure that my children and I are safe in the car.

Hi, my name is Krystina. I take care of the house while my husband is at work and my three children are at school. When I have the house to myself I like to bake cookies and brownies. They are very yummy.

My name is Mike and I am a freshman in college. I love to play music and make CD's. My friends love listening to me play the guitar and the piano. They say my music makes them feel happy and they want to dance.

I'm Taylor and I am a senior in high school. I take classes at school to learn how to cut hair. After school, I work in a hair salon. Sometimes I practice cutting my friends hair. I love that everyone's hair feels different.

My name is Chris and I am in 7th grade. My mom and dad make me take out the trash two times a week. The trash stinks because it has different smells all mixed together. Taking out the trash is my least favorite chore.

The Edward's Family uses their five senses during their daily activities. The five senses we discussed are sight, taste, hear, touch and smell. These senses are very helpful to us.
