ACCORDING TO THE CONSTITION, THE POWERS OF THE US GOVERNMENT MUST BE DIVIDED INTO THREE DIFFERENT BRANCHES:
- THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH: Includes the President, the Vice President, and all of the cabinet members.
- THE LEGISLATIVE BRANCH: Congress includes all of the Representatives and Senators from each state.
- The JUDICIAL BRANCH: Includes the federal court system
THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH
PRESIDENTIAL DUTIES :
Head of State
Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces
Make agreements with foreign nations
Appoint U.S. officials
Create and enforce laws
TO BECOME PRESIDENT YOU HAVE TO...
Be 35+ years old
Be born in the United States
Lived in the United States for at least 14 years
Serve for no more than 2 terms (4 years)

THE JUDICIARY IS MADE UP OF A FEDERAL COURT SYSTEM WITH THREE LEVELS:
- DISTRICT COURTS-Lowest level
- COURT OF APPEALS- 2nd level
- SUPREME COURT-Highest court in the land
