The Hunger Games Trilogy is about love, intelligence, survival and secrets. There are three different books to this series. The Hunger Games starts off and rolls into Catching Fire, ultimately ending with Mockingjay. The Hunger Games is the starting adventure of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark. The Hunger Games are a competition in which the 12 districts of Panem compete to death. Each district is required to send two tributes , one male, one female. All together there are 24 competitors who utimately kill each other and be the last one standing. The event in which the two tributes are chosen is called reaping .
Throughout the three books, there is an ongoing battle of the Hunger Games. In book one, The Hunger Games, it is the 74th Hunger Game set in the United States. Formerly known as North America it is now called Panem. During the Hunger Games you are to fight to the death in this Game Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark are the chosen tributes .
Katniss is the most dramatic reap because she volunteers for her sister which is normally never heard of because you are either wanting to go into the games or no one wants to take your place.
Many readers of this book find the ending to be somewhat distasteful. The events in this book are very sad because character who you wouldn't expect to die, end up dying a horrible death.

A mother of a seventh-grade student in New Hampshire called for the Hunger Games to be banned from her daughter’s middle school library. She complained that the book gave her daughter consistent nightmares. She also denounced the book for its alleged lack of morality and suggested its violent subject matter lead to school violence.
There were apparently 348 attempts to have books banned or removed from school curriculums or libraries. The Huffington Post has listed the top 10 challenged books of 2010 and the reasons they made the list.
As you can see, The Hunger Games was challenged for being unsuited to the age group, sexually explicit and too violent.
I chose the quote "Yes and I'm sure the arena will be full of bags of flour for me to chuck at people", because like Peeta my special skills are really all that great. He's a baker in a town to people who can't afford it. And I live in a town where we have nothing, like the Seam and Peeta and I are connected by which we both have a love for baking.
Romeo And Juliet.
This a song that Katniss' father sang and taught Katniss and Prim when they were younger. Prim often sang it everywhere not knowing the meaning of the words and soon their mother put a stop to the song. This is something Romeo would sing to Juliet because of their undying love for each other.
Edgar Allen Poe
Edgar Allen Poe and Cinna are both artists. Poe wrote disturbing poems but Cinna defied the Capitol and was punished by death. The two are similar in which they did things normal people wouldn't do.
