The crazy adventures of

Vocab U. Lary

Vocab U. Lary was an interesting boy and he had a hard time staying out of trouble.

Even though most of the time, it wasn't his fault.

Here is the story of Vocab's mother's transforming van.

My mom’s car transformed  into a mechanical man the other day. It was crazy. One moment it was an ugly old, beat up van and the next it was a huge, strong robot.

As soon as it saw me, it left.  I was completely in solitude .  Who would believe this crazy tale?  I only half believed it myself.  The worse part of it all was that it had left me and my mother at school alone.

We had no other provisions to get home. My mother had ran to the restroom and she would surely blame me when she returned.

When my mother returned, she immediately began screaming that we had been robbed and left destitute and defenseless with no money and no phone, because of course her wallet and phone were in the car.

endeavored  to get our car back after it had transformed into a person and ran way since no one else would believe me.  Besides, if a car could transform into a person, why couldn't I become a superhero?

I decided to try and find him on foot.  I decided to pretend I was an investigator trying to solve a big mystery.

I soon located him in another parking lot down the road where there were an abundance of cars that looked like mine.  There were so many cars I did not have a clue how I would ever find it.

Once I saw all the cars, I had reservations  about going any further.  What if the robot jumped out and attacked me, or if all the cars transformed at one time?  One thing i knew for sure was that I had to make a move.

When I turned the corner I saw the robot was being held in bondage by another mechanical man that was much bigger.  It was too crazy for my eyes believe.  I thought I was dreaming when I saw the first robot man and now here was another.  I was going crazy.

My robot threw an elbow and yanked itself free. Just as soon as he was free my mother emerged  from behind the trees. Both robots quickly transformed back into beat up old vans before she could see what was going on.

She saw the car and yelled at me because I looked like the criminal.  She asked how did I know where the car was?  And then she grounded me for life.  I could not even defend myself.  What could I say?  The car stole the car?   She jumped in the van and started it up quickly ready to get home.  I decided right then it was time to reserve a block with the psychiatrist.
