What is the science behind it?

This type of technology, also known as "swing wing," first appeared in a production aircraft in the late 1960s with the General Dynamics F-111. This plane had three different wing positions to give it maximum efficiency at all speeds. In fact, a variation of this plane, the FB-111A strategic bomber, carried the unofficial nickname "Switchblade." [ref].

How do these heavy machines take to the air? The answer to that question lies in the world of fluid mechanics.

Lightning is a lesson in physical science.

It is commonly known that lightning is generated in electrically charged storm systems.

The method of cloud charging still remains mysterious, however science does tell us that lightning begins with a process that is less mystical: the water cycle.

Did you know that bolt temperatures are hotter than the surface of the sun?
