The Water Cycle

Bring the Rain!!!

Heat from the sun evaporates the water from the oceans, lakes and rivers and it rises into the sky in the form of water vapor.  Plants also release water into the air by transpiration.

Water in the air condenses and starts to make clouds.

As the clouds rise and cool, water droplets grow bigger and bigger.

Once the clouds get filled with water vapor, they begin to cool and the vapor condenses into rain drops.

As the rain falls, it flows into the rivers and streams.  It is also absorbed into the ground and becomes groundwater in the soil.

The rivers flow into the ocean.

Once in the ocean, the cycle starts all over again.
