-S or -ES Which Will It Be?

When changing a word from singular to plural there are a few rules we must follow.

If the word ends in a vowel -y add -s. If the word ends in a consonant -y drop the y and add -ies .

If your word ends in -ch,-sh,s or x add -es.

If your noun ends in -f or -fe drop the -f and add -ves.

There are always the rule breakers. Some words do not change they stay the same for singualr and plural. Example sheep

We will wrap up plural endings with irregualr plurals. Irregualr plurals change the vowel to become plural. Example Goose/Geese
