You're the Best, Molly!

Everyone I know is great at something.  I'm not good at anything at all.

My brother Mike is the best baseball player in his school.  He practices all day.

When he hits the ball too far, I run fetch it for him.

He says, "Thanks a lot, you're the best, Molly!"

My sister Kate is an artist.  Her art teacher says she'll be famous one day.

When she wants to paint, I leave the room we share so she can concentrate .

She says, "I'll see you later. You're the best, Molly!"

My friend Sarah plays the flute really well.  Whenever she needs an audience she calls me to come over.  And I do.

She says, "Thanks for coming. You're the best, Molly!"

My neighbor Francis can ice skate.  He usually doesn't fall.

When he does, I quickly help him get up before anyone sees.

He says, "Don't tell anyone. You're the best, Molly!"

One day, when I came into the house Mom said, "What's wrong Molly?"

I said, "Everyone I know is great at something. I'm not good at anything at all."

"Don't be silly," Mom answered, "you're the one who helps everybody be great at what they do."

"You fetch the ball for Mike.

"You leave the room so Kate can paint.

"You listen to Sarah play the flute.

"You help Francis stand up so he can skate."
