The Most Awesome Day Ever!

By: Rae Wine

It was Monday morning...again. I really wasn't looking forward to another boring Monday! I just wanted to go back to sleep and pretend it was still the weekend, but I knew I had to get up and get ready to go. I was not expecting anything spectactular for today.

When I finished getting ready, I walked slowly down the stairs for breakfast. I was hoping for no Cheerios again. I quietly approached the table and suddenly saw something awesome. It was my favorite! Pancakes! I ran quickly to the table and began to eat slowly so I could enjoy my favorite breakfast. This day was off to a good start.

I got to school and went right to my seat. I sat there wondering what to expect in school today. I knew I was supposed to get my Social Studies test back. I hope I did well or else I will be in big trouble. I started to feel anxious, then the teacher started walking toward me.

As the teacher leaned in she said "Good Job Fred! You got an A+ on your Social Studies test." I couldn't believe it. My smile was as bright as the sun. This was turning into the best Monday ever! My parents would be so happy for me! I could not wait to show them.

I could not wait to get home! I was so excited! I rushed inside the house and yelled "Mom! Dad! I got an A+ on my Social Studies test!" My Mom and Dad were so excited. My Mom said "Let's celebrate this awesome day you had!"

I smiled from ear to ear then said "It's ok Mom, we don't have to celebrate, sharing it with you was enough." "Well," Mom said, "I think we both deserve a little Coldstone." Her smile made me feel so good. I said "OK" and grabbed my coat. I could not believe that this was my Monday! What a super awesome day!

When we got to Coldstone, I ordered the biggest sundae they had! I could not wait to eat it all up! This had been the most awesome day ever! I had, had the most awesome breakfast, got the most awesome grade and now I was eating the most awesome sundae at Coldstone! Even though I wasn't expecting today to be as awesome as it was, I hope tomorrow will be even better!
