The Start of a New Season
Campbell and Ansleigh were so excited! Today, they were going to their first swim practice!
As they walked up to the pool, Campbell noticed that the other swimmers were big and had lots of gear in their bags.
Ansleigh looked at the pool and watched the coaches working with other swimmers.
She hoped her coach would be as nice as the ones she was watching. One of the coaches saw the girls and waved to them.
The girls made their way to the pool's edge where other children were also getting ready for practice.
Coach Lauren greeted both girls and showed them which lane they would be swimming in.
The girls hung up their towels and looked around nervously.
Several other children who had been playing came over and introduced themselves to Campbell and Ansleigh. They seemed very friendly!
Coach Lauren called everyone to the edge of the deep end of the pool and told all the children how happy she was that they were there.
Ansleigh and Campbell smiled at each other. They knew this was going to be a great season!
