Last Night I dreamed I was a ...................!

Every night before he goes to bed Nicholas likes to read a book.
"Nicholas honey, it's time to put the book away and go to sleep." called his mother.
Nicholas did not want to stop reading his book.
"Mommy, " said Nicholas. "Last night I dreamed I was an elephant."
"Really, what kind of elephant were you?" asked his mother
" How would I know?" wondered Nicholas.
"Well did you have really big ears, shaped like Africa ?" asked his mother.
"No mommy", replied Nicholas. " But I did carry heavy things for people."
Nicholas was reading one of his favorite books.
His father called,"Nicholas you have five minutes before bedtime."
"Okay daddy," sighed Nicholas.
Mom, you won't believe it!" said Nicholas excitedly." "Last night I dreamed that I lived in the mountains somewhere in China"
Nicholas described his dream to his mother. In his dream he climbed trees and ate lots of bamboo. He tells her that he ate twenty to forty-five pounds of bamboo a day.
"What did you look like?" asked his mother.
"Oh mommy, I was mostly white but I had black fur on my ears, arms and legs. My eyes had black fur around them too." described Nicholas.
"Well let me guess," said his mother. "I think you dreamed that you were a giant panda."
"Oh, yes mommy, I was a giant panda!" exclaimed Nicholas.
"Just like in my book!"
Last night Nicholas fell asleep reading a book.
When he woke up he yelled to his mother.
"Mom, guess what I dreamed about last night?"
