So...what is a fraction?
Any part of a group, number, or whole.
Decimal
The word "Decimal" really means "based on 10".
(From Latin decima: a tenth part).
We sometimes say "decimal" when we mean anything to do with our numbering system, but a "Decimal Number" usually means there is a Decimal Point.
Repeating Decimal
A repeating decimal is a decimal that has a digit, or a block of digits, that repeat over and over and over again without ever ending.
Terminating Decimal
A decimal that ends.
Percent
Number out of 100
Whole Number
Number that divides exactly into another number.
Composite Number
A number with more than 2 factors.
Prime Number
Number that has exactly two factors.
