A man who wanted to buy a
donkey went to the market
and found one that he liked.
He asked the owner if he could
take the donkey home to see if
he was good.

When he got home he put the donkey in the stable with the other donkeys.

The new donkey looked around his new home and chose the laziest donkey to be his best friend.

The new owner saw this and took him right back to the market.

The donkey's first owner was surprised to see him.
"But, why have you brought him back? Have you tested him already?

"I don't need to do anymore tests," he said. " I could tell what kind of worker he was going to be by the friend that he chose!"

The moral of the story is to be careful who you choose as your friends. You might be seen as someone always in trouble if that is how your friends behave.
