Animoto is one of the easiest ways to create spectacular videos online! It allows you to use your own pictures, clips and music to create a custom video in minutes!

Animoto is flexible and with lots of options available it allows you to express yourself by tailoring your video exactly the way you like it!

Animoto would serve as a great tool for students who have trouble expressing themselves in writing. By using Animoto students could convey their messages through a video rather than text. Additionally, Animoto includes scaffolds which serve as visual cues. Students who are visual learners will find Animoto especially interesting. It allows students a way to express themselves and engage in their work at the same time.

Examples of how Animoto could be used in the classroom:

Students could create a video to inform their peers about the precautions and issues of cyberbullying.

Students could act out a scene from a book that they have read in Language Arts.

Animoto is licensed for users 13 years old and up. Provisions can be granted for schools to create accounts for users under the age of 13 so long that they comply with the terms of the agreement and that no personal information is released.

Fakebook allows teachers and students to create profiles for historical or fictional characters. It enables you to give your character a name and then build their profile, add friends, posts and comments on their "Fakebook wall." Fakebook is convenient because it allows you to get started and save your work to resume later.

Fakebook would be a great tool for reducing barriers for students who get bored easily. Rather than reading about historical figures in a textbook, students could have the chance to create a profile for these figures instead. Also, Fakebook would assist those who learn from communicating with their peers.

Students could use Fakebook to create profiles of historical and form a debate, chart the plots of a book, or develop characters from a novel in Language Arts.

Fakebook does not have any age restrictions in place.

Skitch is an app based on drawing, but has the potential to allow students to do so much more. The app features various colors and point sizes, the ability to draw over objects such as pictures, text editing, and the use of shapes. The app allows you to save your image to the camera role to be shared with other services or devices.

Skitch would be a great tool for reducing barriers in the classroom because it allows for multiple methods of expression and can be geared toward all of the diverse learning types. The ability to use images as well as annotate over drawings or handwritten notes would be a great tool to help learners who get bored sitting still and looking at their plain white page of notes. This app allows students to demonstrate their knowledge and develop a passion for the content of which they are learning. A great use for Skitch in the classroom would be when students are learning how to plot curves on a graph for math. Students could create an x, y axis on skitch and plot their points.

Skitch is directed to children 13 years and older and relies on parents and guardians to ensure minors only use the Service if they can understand their rights and responsibilities as stated in these Terms and Privacy Policy.
