VoiceThread is an online application that allows individuals to communicate with each other through the use of text, video, and audio.

Students can create, comment, and share their creations with the option of using a variety of privacy settings. The age requirement for this application is 13. However, if under the age of 13 a teacher or parent could sign the student up.

This tool can remove certain barriers of different learners by being free, accessible, and has the beneficial aspect of being an online environment. Some students may enjoy learning and sharing through text/creating videos. This type of visual learning also allows students from not being intimidated from the idea of presenting in the classroom. Students may become more comfortable with the material they are learning by displaying their knowledge in a different way.

Twitter is a social networking application that connects people from all of the world. An individual as the ability to share comments, links, information, and pictures in 140 characters or less. There is no age limit to use Twitter.

This tool breaks any barriers that may have affected certain types of learners by providing a vareity of ways and a variety of people in which students can interact and learn from. Social networking sites like Twitter help build a community in which a student may feel comfortable to share and communicate with other students or teachers about certain subject matters being learnt in their classrooms.

Evernote is an application for note taking. It allows the ability to type text, save pictures to notes, create notebooks, create audio notes with text. It also has the ability to share those notes with others. 

The age requirement is 13. Any student below the age of 13 has to have parental/guardian supervison. 

Evernote is a tool that allows individuals to express themselves through creating different types of notes. It allows students to display their knowledge in a variety of different ways to meet what ever learning needs they have.
