slide.ly: This is a great free website that allowws you to log in with a facebook account. This website allows you to creat slide shows useing pictures on your desk top or onine to your favorite music. 

This tool can be used to create interesting slide shows for high school classes. An example is compiling photos from WWII and provideing an approprit sound tack for a social studies class.

The website can be used by people of all ages however, if you are a minor you must obtain permission from parents to use the site.


In Focus: This website allows you to highlight text on any website without registration and provides the user with a unique link or url adress linking to it.

This is a great tool for studying from online texts are for writeing research papers that are "green" instead of printing multiple pages and organizeing a student can get to the source immediately.

For the student who does nothave a printer or access to one, or for the student who needs to read text instead of write it, this tool allows them to study as they need to.

This tool can be used by all age groups.


Iki Map: This an online resource that allows a student to create maps of all diffrent tpes online. One pro on this site is that all you need for a picture is the url of the map.

For social tudies classes this can be used tocreate maps, that are old and new and incoorporate them into a lesson.

This is a great resource for students who are not as creative and have a hard time drawing maps or colouring, this site provides a way to complete the task any way.

This site is appropriate for young adults.
