Twitter can be used to facilitate classroom discussion and help teachers answer questions that students may have outside of the classroom. Teachers can set up class twitter accounts and use them to inform and help students. They can also use Twitter in a classroom context that allows it to be a discussion outlet for students.

For students who are not completely comfortable discussing with classmates in person, Twitter provides an easier way to discuss. It is also beneficial for students who have motor skill problems that inhibit physical writing down of thoughts.

ScreenChomp is an app for Apple products that allows for annotation and doodling on blank canvases or images. Voice clips can also be recorded and added to images or canvases.

Students can use an app like ScreenChomp to express ideas and their learning about certain concepts. The students can use an app like ScreenChomp to do presentations and use multiple ways of expression to explain their understandings.

Students who are unable to present information in front of the class or in a written format can use visual images, captions, annotations and verbal voice clips to explain concepts that may be difficult to do in either a verbal presentation or oral presentation in front of the class.
