Ted Ed Allows teachers to make creative lesson plans and incorporating YouTube videos into their plans. It is a creative way to get the class to discuss and practice how to interact in a respectful way on the internet with their peers. The teacher can create a discussion board and talk about the Youtube video with their class and students can participate in group discussions on the topic. They supply many other resources to further your knowledge on that topic.

The layout is much like Facebook but is a safe way for students to interact with their teachers and peers regarding their marks, assingments and any questions. A great way for teachers to use Edmodo is to track students progress. This is a great way for parents to stay involved in their childs life as well as the teacher is staying connected with what is happening at home. Skype is a tool where you can get free internet calling, face to face interactions with other people around the world.

In an educational setting, Skype could be used for video conferences with other teachers or guest speakers you want to speak in your classroom but are not able to physically come into your class. Skype is a good way of connecting cultures across the world and getting information from different perspectives. You can have Skype on your mobile phone, broadcast it on your Smart board or any other tablet. One disadvantage of using Skype in your classroom, is the age restriction. In Canada you must be 18 and above to use this tool. You are able to instant message and file share which would be helpful for students to collaborate through school activities.
