This is an image of a HIV virus.  You can see the 3 main parts of every virus.  The center part of the virus is the core.  The core is made up of nucleic acid, RNA or DNA.  The part surround the core is known as the capsid.  The capsid is made of protein, one of our biomolecules.  The third part of every virus is some sort of projection.  This HIV virus has spikes on the outer surface to help the virus attach to the host cell.
