There are many Web 2.0 tool on the internet today, this book will explore a few of those tools and how they can be used in education. A Web 2.0 site can allow users to interact and collaborate with other memeber on the site, it becomes like a virtual community.

YouTube

YouTube is a video-sharing websites which allows users to upload, view and share video. The contect of the site contains video clips, TV clips, music videos, video blogging, short original videos and educational videos. 

YouTube is a great tool that is used in the education system today, it allows both students and teachers access to educational clips that can help enhance student learning.

YouTube is great for students who require a lesson to be repeated or slowed down. With the video clips that are available online students can watch them as many times as they would like and are able to repeat part that they do not fully understand. This tool is also an asset for auditory and visual learners because it allows the students to acquire information in the way that is best suited for them.

YouTube allows most videos to be viewed by all web users, however their are some videos that require the viewer to sign in and prove that they are 18 years old or older. This allows for 18+ rated contect to only be seen by users that are indeed 18 plus.




Moodle

Moodle is an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment. Moodle helps educators create online courses with a foucus on interation and collaborative construction of content with a socila function.

Moodle allows educators to have assignment online with allows students access to them whenever they are at a computer. This easy access to course work allows students to be doing assignments almost anywhere at their own pace. 

Moodle is great for students that require more time and access to their course work. It allows students to work through their course at their own rate. However, Moodle can cause to be problematic for students that do not have regular access to a computer or students that are very busy with other things in their lives if the teacher decides to use Moodle a lot and the students do not have very much freetime. 

Moode has no restrictions for age however the teacher must make a Moodle before the students have access to it. 



FakeBook

FakeBook is a site where teacher and students can create a fake Facebook for educational purposes. This site can be used to make a chart of the career of a character, create a timeline of important events, outline the main plot of any writting and many more.

FakeBook can be used to make any significant event, timeline or character into a fake facebook page which allows students more easily understand what is happening because they are use to the facebook format. 

This site can reduce barriers for students that have a hard time pulling out the important information for textbooks, it is a quick and easy way to help students know the main points.

There is no real restrictions to using Fakebook and it can be a great asset in any history or english class.
