Croak. It (http://croak.it) is a website that allows you to creat a 30 second recording using the microphone built in to your computer.

This can be used in education by having students record themselves answering questions/giving insights which they can then share with other students or their teacher. Once you've made your recording, you're provided with a unique URL, so a student has control over who they share their URL/recording with.

I think this could be especially useful in a jr. high French class, where it is important for students to practice their speaking to improve their oral french. Many students are shy about speaking French in front of their classmates because they may be embarrased about their accent. I think this would be helpful for those students, because it would allow them to record themself and share it with only their teacher.

There are no age restrictions on this tool, it is free, and you don't even have to register, so it would be an easy tool for students to use.

In Focus (http://infocus.cc) is a tool that allows you to highlight a specific part of a webpage. You're then provided with a unique URL for the highlighted webpage, which you can share with others.

This would be useful in education because you can share the exact information you want with students. Instead of sending them a link to a page with a bunch of irrelevant information on it, you can highlight the part of the page you want your students to read and send them that instead. Then, the students know exactly what they need to read, and don't waste their time on the rest of the page.

I think this would be especially helpful in a French class, because there are lots of online resources that show how to conjugate verbs (a major part of what your learn in French). However, these resources usually show the conjugations of the verbs in every tense, and in a jr. high class, you would only be focused on one or two tenses. With this tool, you could highlight the tense you want your students to focus on, so they don't get confused by the other tenses.

I think this would be helpful for students who have a hard time focusing or paying attention, or also for students who might get frazzled/overloaded when presented with too much information. This would help them to zoom in on the only information they need to see.

There is no age restriction on this tool, it is free to use, and there is no registration necessary, making it an easy tool for teachers to use.

Check This (http://checkthis.com) is a website that allows you to create standalone webpages. You can add texts and images, and share your webpage with others.

This would be useful in education because you can have an option for an assignment to be to create a webpage. I think this could be useful in any subject areas, because it's just a different medium for presenting information.

I think this would be helpful for students who are creative and visual learners. A student who may not enjoy or have troubles with writing papers may enjoy creating a webpage instead to present information.

There is no age restrictions with this tool, it is free, and there is no registration required so it would be an easy tool for students to use.
