Take Action With Verbs

Ken and Molly are learning about verbs in school.
Molly is not sure how to recognize a verb in a sentence.
Ken explains to Molly that verbs are the action words in a sentence.
Ken takes Molly to the playground to help her learn about verbs.
First, Ken takes Molly to the slide.
"Look at Billy slide", says Ken.
Slide is an action word.
Slide is a verb.
Next, Ken takes Molly to the swings.
"Look at Anna swing", says Ken.
Swing is an action word.
Swing is a verb.
Finally, Ken takes Molly to the monkey bars.
"Look at Joe climb", says Ken.
Climb is an action word.
Climb is a verb.
"Thanks Ken", says Molly.
"I think I know how to recognize verbs in a sentence now. Thank you for being a good friend."
