This is a cute book that can be used by math teachers. It can be used when teaching children to count down from ten, as well as when teaching the concept of one less than. It is great that rhyming is built into the book.

This is a great book to utilize when teaching counting backwards from ten. Children learn that each time one banana is taken away, the number of remaining bananas decreases. They learn to count backwards in an exciting way through reading this book about a monkey in a jungle who keeps losing his bananas.

I really liked this story. It was well written and very interesting. I would touch up on the illistrations though to make the story more exciting. Great way to teach subtraction.
