I absolutely love the way that you created this book to enhance student comprehension and focus on direct and indirect characterization. You skillfully used the characters (coaches) to scaffold the learning process guiding the students to understand how to respond to the questions posted. Religious diversity was considered as you had the students relate to the way they celebrate various holidays and the characters explained their special holidays. You engaged the students in this story of olden days by having them relate to the events in their lives.

I think this book turned out wonderful. I haven't had much experience using Book Builder but it seems like you put a lot of time into making this story structured in ways that enable a variety of learners to become engaged in the reading. I like the two guides that mention important elements to consider in the story and the glossary is particularly helpful as well.
