This book is very clear and the pictures are a great way to help students visualize and therefore better comprehend the parts of speech. I do wonder, however, if it would have been clearer if the parts of speech being emphasized on each page would have been highlighted or underlined in the sentences. Also, maybe the noun page should have included a “thing” (to teach that a noun can be a person, place, or thing) and perhaps other prepositions and conjunctions should have been included, since there are so many of them. Overall, it’s a good resource and I believe is best suited for introducing parts of speech in 4th grade, as opposed to 5th, due to its simplicity.
