Terry's Tips

It is important to discuss with children what we learn on the title page of a book. We learn the title of the book and who wrote the book. We also learn who created the pictures. This is a good place to talk about the author, who writes the words in the story, and the illustrator, who creates the pictures.

Extension Activity: Discuss why this information is given on the title page and why this information is important to know. Try to give at least two reasons.
