"Victory by a Hare!"

         "And a Tortoise!"

Terry's Tips

Goal-centered learning and UDL curriculum

The separation of instructional goals from the materials and methods used to reach those goals is at the heart of Universal Design for Learning.  If goals are effectively designed, the way in which students achieve those goals can be flexible and responsive to students needs and preferences.

In this case, Tortoise and Hare had the same goal, yet each animal could choose the path that worked best for him.  Think with students about different kinds of goals and how they can be separate from the means of achieving them.
