The overarching goal of this course is to:
Investigate, design, and develop technology-based instructional materials for the classroom.

The objectives of this course include:
• Understand and describe how varieties of instructional technology can help improve learning.
• Demonstrate mastery of basic principles of web design for educational purposes.
• Recognize the legal and ethical issues that arise from the use of the Internet and other electronic resources.
• Be able to adequately search the Internet for grade and learning level-appropriate content.
• Write lesson plans that include instructional technology solutions that support classroom activities.

Hi again! Remember me? I'm Monty and I am here to tell you about the structure of your ED 101 Technology Lab. This course will consist mostly of lab activities. Make it a priority to attend weekly lab sections, located in the IMC Mac Lab, and to complete all of the lab assignments. In addition to weekly labs, there are three Friday morning lectures, tackling more theoretical elements of the course that take place in SED Room 130. Check the syllabus schedule for the dates of these three lectures, as attendance is mandatory.
