The United States entered World War Two in large part due to the bombing of a naval base in Hawaii called Pearl Harbor.  Japan engaged in a surprise attack on this base and killed over 2,000 Americans.  Japan was one of the fascist countries that were trying to expand their territories.  They wanted to knock out the power of the U.S.  However, the U.S. was able to come back and eventually win the war.
