YouTube (www.youtube.com) is a video-sharing website, on which users can upload, view and share videos.  This tool has been used since it's foundation in 2005 for users to upload and watch videos.  It has videos ranging from homemade to music videos to documentaries and has reached billions of viewers across the world.  

YouTube can be an incredible resource for any teacher looking to increase the level of engagment in their classrooms.  A teacher can simply search in YouTube and most likely find a video related to their lesson.  Whether it be a documentary for Social Studies, and experiement for Science or movie for English it can be found.  This website can help engage students and reduce a student's barrier of boredom.  It also gives students access to many videos that are very educational that they would have never before had access to.

This website is open to all ages.  There are some exceptions to this as some videos are deemed as "inappropriate for people under the age of 18."  To view these videos a user has to sign in and consent to being 18.
