Another app that I am choosing for my students is IMovie.

I have had the pleasure of being around my niece who is 10 and her friends a lot over the past few years and making videos is their number one favorite thing to do. I think that for elementary school aged students this would be a great app to use in the classroom. The sudents will be engaged, active, and interested in the app itself. Movie or video making can be added to any part of any assignment or curriculum component in the LA, social studies, health, physical education, music, drama, science, etc. subject areas. I think an app like this will enhance the experience tenfold, and many kids already know how to use this type of Apple app.

To use the app, the classroom must have access to Apple devices, if the school doesn't have them, we could get students to bring their own. Students would be in groups or pairs so their should be enough devices for everyone to take part.

The app can be downloaded at: https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/imovie/id377298193?mt=8

I read about the use of IMovie @ http://dmourlam.wordpress.com/2012/11/29/10-apps-that-can-enhance-your-lessons-through-udl/
