Web 2.0: Uses in the classroom

• This web tool allows anyone to create a document, spreadsheet, presentation, form, or drawing online using their google account (Ditch That Textbook, 2014). 

• Google docs is an amazing tool that can be used in education easily because it allows the collaboration of many people working on a single document. When you create a google doc you have the ability to share it with anyone else who has a google email account. You also can allow them to edit the document or just view the document. This works great for group discussions, group presentation, or questions students may have (Ditch That Textbook, 2014). 

• This tool can reduce barriers because it allows the students to work together on something even when they are not in close proximity. Also, it allows people to work on it at anytime and anywhere that an internet connection is available (Ditch That Textbook, 2014).

• Google documents alone does not have a specific age requirement needed to be met in order to use it. However, in order to access google documents you must have a google account, which does have an age restriction of 13 or older for in Canada and the United States (Support.google.com, 2014).
