Edmodo is a networking site for students and teachers, so teachers can post reminders, assignments, lesson plans, dates for exams etc and students can in turn post comments for the teachers and other students.
Edmodo can help reduce barriers for learners who like working at home - it can be useful where learners benefit from a flipped classroom, who need extra help from the teachers in class, rather than just being shown content all the time in class.
Edmodo terms of use requires the person with an account to be 18 or else get their parent's permission to be a user on the site. If a user is under 13 then they are not advised to share any personal information on the site because of the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act which ends at age 13.
